COURSES

All of the continuing education courses are 8 hours in length and are registered with the State of New Mexico CID. The exception is the Forman Developement Series which contains 16 three hour modules that can be used as CEUs.  
We also conduct OSHA 10 hour training that is not registered at this time.
On-line courses for CW/CEs and journeyman improvement courses are scheduled periodically.

CPR/First Aid

Eight hour class teaching CPR including AED training and First Aid from the perspective of an electrical worker. View Course

Significant Changes to the 2017 NEC

An overview of the changes to the 2017 National Electrical Code. It is recommended that the student bring a copy of the 2017 NEC. View Course

NFPA 70E

An overview of the requirements of electrical related safe work practices according to the latest standards. View Course

Overview and Changes to NESC

An overview of the contents of the National Electrical Safety Code and a comparison to the NEC. During discussion the major changes are highlited. This class is 8 hours and is approved for EE98J and EL1J continuing education credits. View Course

Foreman Development Series

This course contains 16 three hour modules covering the aspects of and insights into being an foreman on an electrical construction site. The course is registered with the state of New Mexico for continuing education credits. It also meets the requirement of MEI training for foreman training and wage increase. The course is given at no cost to IBEW members, a charge of $25 for the CEU certification. View Course
